Graham BullGraham Bull - Business Development Director

Working in the property industry is most enjoyable and I have spent my entire professional career in Brighton and Hove, dealing with land, new developments, houses and flats across the entire spectrum, including specialist probate work, investments and valuations throughout Sussex.

I also advise both national and regional developers as well as local builders to ensure that schemes are well received from inception, through the planning stage to completion, to ensure that the maximum potential has been realized.

Callaways, Land & Brand New Homes and R W Hilder & Co Limited are three well respected names and I had no hesitation in joining the management team. Having spent the last seven years successfully building a new residential agency in Brighton I immediately recognised the enormous potential (and indeed relish the opportunity) to develop the businesses along the South Coast.

My hobbies include sailing, tennis and the gym.

Julie HealyJulie Healy – Marketing Project Manager

I graduated with a Degree in Economics and Public Media and worked with companies like BPB Industries, Touche Ross and Identex.

In 2002, inspired by the concept of buying new homes on-line, I joined R W Hilder & Co as part of the team to develop sales and marketing of brand new homes . My role has focused on both corporate and client facing responsibilities.

I have played a key role in formulating and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans. These have involved internal and external communication customer retention and acquisition, and building brand awareness through a myriad of marketing activity.

My interests include my family, walking, swimming, food and wine, and travel.

Heather Hilder-DarlingHeather Hilder-Darling – Managing Director

I have enjoyed a real variety of roles in the UK, France, Belgium and Italy working for companies such as ITT, EMI, Bahlsen Biscuits and the European Broadcasting Union.

On my return from mainland Europe in the early 80’s, I spent several months working in a Worthing Estate Agency, and recognising my growing interest in property, a career move began to take shape. In the 1990’s I graduated with a Degree in Business Studies and also have qualifications in Direct Marketing and Market Research.

Working in the family business since 1995, and developing the concept of marketing new homes on the internet back in 2000, we now have a burgeoning product range, from on-line listing to Full Agency and Marketing Consultancy including Market Research services, direct marketing and of course, e-marketing. Property is a passion, from sourcing the land to working with Interior Designers. We’re clearly delighted with our recent 'Daily Mail, UK Property Award, Real Estate Agency'.

I'm a member of various networking and professional groups including the Institute of Directors, Institute of Direct Marketing and the Market Research Society. In my spare time, I play tennis and golf. I also still have an active interest in languages and am currently improving my Spanish and German.

Melanie HilderMelanie Hilder, Lettings & Property Manager

I joined R W Hilder & Co in October 2006 after working in banking, retail and sales environments. Working at the Worthing Head Office allowed me to get to know the responsibilities of the various departments within the family business.

I commuted for a while from Hove to Worthing and then in July 2008, R W Hilder & Co acquired Callaways in Hove and I 'applied' to work in the Church Road office to expand my skills.

My current role is Lettings & Property Manager, responsible for tenants referencing, property maintenance mid-term inspections and client liaison. It is a varied role, one which I thoroughly enjoy, especially meeting people from so many walks of life. Hove is a great place to live and work in.

I still keep very much in touch with the teams in Worthing as much of our work is liaison.

I love travelling to hot and sunny climes and watching TV.

Nicki KeeleyNicki Keeley, Contracts & Renewals

My background is in the financial service industry, having spent many years in a variety of roles in pension administration.

I joined R W Hilder & Co Ltd 5 years ago for a complete change of scene and to gain knowledge in the property industry, which was always a personal interest to me. I have been lucky enough to have been involved with a variety of projects that have kept my interest throughout this time.

More recently, I have become part of the Callaways Team dealing with all aspects of office administration, including contracts, renewals and property inspections. This has been a really interesting project for me and I have learnt many of the legal aspects of Estates and Lettings.

Good customer service is hard to come by these days and we strive to provide a dedicated and professional service to all our clients, old and new.

My interests include travel, music, food (eating and cooking!), cinema and reading a good crime thriller.

Jane HeselwoodJane Heselwood – Financial Controller

I joined R W Hilder in early 2008 and one of my first jobs for them was to negotiate the acquisition of Callaways Estate & Residential Lettings. Alongside my current responsibilities to R W Hilder & Co, I now play a supporting role to the team at Callaways, managing the financial side of the business.

My responsibilities include ensuring rents are collected and paid on time, registering and releasing deposits and more importantly, ensuring we are up to date with current legislation which is essential since the laws have changed regarding Tenants Deposits.

My leisure time is spent Kayaking in the summer, walking in the winter and gardening all year round. I also love modern jive, which is a great way of keeping fit and to travel to faraway places.

Claire PerryClaire Perry - Sales & Lettings, Worthing

I have worked for Callaways for just over a year now with 17 years experience in the Sales and Lettings industry in Worthing and the Brighton area.

My current role, due to continuing success of the family run business has been to set up the Sales and Lettings department in Worthing which is going from strength to strength and has enabled us to offer greater coverage along the South Coast.

In my spare time I enjoy renovating my home and cooking for friends and family.




Alex SheppardAlex Sheppard, Sales Manager

Born and bred in Brighton and Hove, and as a third generation in the Estate Agency profession following in my father’s, David Sheppard, and grandfather’s, Harry Wells, footsteps I've inherited a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the property market.

Brighton & Hove has such a wide variety of property types from studio flats to grand and brand new homes, both for sale and to let. I meet a great cross-section of clients including foreign students, and people looking to down-size from London. There is a great synergy between our office in Hove and Worthing Head Office and of course we support each other enormously.

I have 19 years in the industry, working for national and more local companies. My current position makes great use of my knowledge and experience.
